The West Africa Programme Officer of the Computer Aid International paid a courtesy visit to the Cooperative Information Network Obafemi Awolowo Univesity, Ile – Ife; and some other tertiary institutions in Osun State between the 26th and 28th of March 2008. Her first point of call was the Office of the Cooperative Information Network (COPINE) on the 26th of March, where she had a discussion on the collaboration between COPINE and Computer Aid International , including the way forward.
The second day which was the 27th of March, she visited the Faculties of Science, Technology and the Centre for Distance Learning (CDL); all at Obafemi Awolowo University.
She later traveled to the Osun State College of Technology Esa – Oke and Osun State College of Education, Ilesa to intimate the institutions on the aims and objectives of the Computer Aid International and the collaboration with COPINE.
On the 28th of March, she visited the Faculty of Clinical Sciences, which was one of the beneficiaries of the 1st batch computer systems that was distributed in November 2007. The Federal Polytechnic Ede was the last place she visited for the same purpose as of those in Ilesa and Esa – Oke.
